SaxoCellOmics

Plattform SaxoCellOmics

The SaxoCell region has benefited from concentrated technology investments over the past 20 years. This has resulted in a broad range of state-of-the-art cellular and molecular measurement techniques and associated data processing and interpretation. This unique combination has been adapted to meet the scientific and commercial challenges of SaxoCell and brought together in a common structure, the SaxoCellOmics platform. This ensures optimal early support for the development and production of gene and cell therapeutics. SaxoCellOmics has four strategic goals for the cluster:

(1) To provide efficient and harmonized processes for monitoring the delivery and tolerability of novel therapies,
(2) To identify mechanisms of action, novel targets and resistance,
(3) To develop improved quality criteria for the manufacturing process, and
(4) To develop predictive biomarkers.

SaxoCellOmics’ collaboration with SaxoCell projects, SaxoCellSystems and SaxoCellClinics increases the competitiveness of biotechnical and bioanalytical companies in the SaxoCell.

  • Improved evaluation of cell and gene therapies through standardized and documented high-throughput measurements tailored to SaxoCell projects

  • Creation of new fields of action for industry and science by identifying mechanisms of action, new targets and resistances

  • Rapid clinical transfer of novel gene and cell therapies through optimal use of biomarker development expertise available in Saxony
